Fibre Broadband and Phone Question

Im thinking of upgrading to fibre and moving my phone over too because of too many BT 'line fault' mistakes this week , how exactly does the installation process work? 

Does an engineer have to come out and set things up and how does the phone part work, I.e come down my existing copper line or through fibre?

But it would be worth putting your phone number into the DSL checker, to see what you can expect, or if you can get it..

You are aware that Plusnet are a BT company too and use Openreach/BTW Wholesale to supply all their services?

I am well aware of that fact, but atleast if I have a plusnet problem I dont have to ring half way around the world to get attitude because ive rung 5 times this week already!

And also it consolidates my two bills into one, which can never be a bad thing!
