New router received and setup.
I can connect but speed results have not changed...still around 26-28 MB/s
ADSL Checker
BT WholeSale SpeedTest + BT WholeSale Further Diagnostics
And the last one is SpeedTest.net
What now?
Should I submit a fault? Or is this how much I can get via FTTC and there is nothing else I can do?

Hi @davneg,
If you've already been through our troubleshooting guides, I'd recommend reporting a fault over at https://faults.plus.net so we can get this raised with our suppliers for further investigation.
Once you've done this, please let us know and we'll be able to get the ticket picked up for you.
Thanks.

Apologies for busting in on davneg's thread, but I've just run the ADSL checker for my own line and it seems that even on the VDSL Range B (impacted), my own line should be capable of at least 60mbps download but currently it sits around 53.75mbps. The upstream rate (impacted), should achieve a rate of around 16.8mbps and surprise surprise, it is currently sitting around 17.38mbps, so it's bang on. Therefore, why am I some 6mbps below what my download speed should be? The download speed is consistent, whether it be 6am or at peak times. Is it possible for anyone at PN to kick my profile?
I reiterate, I'm using a BT HH6 on the latest firmware which is sitting within two feet of my Master Socket plugged into a MK3 Openreach socket, so no dangly microfilters in use. Using the OFCOM WiFi checker, I have 0 percent data loss and a 3 millisecond data delay. I'm still not convinced I'm getting the full speed my line is capable of.

While I appreciate this speed may be below the top end of the impacted range, as it is within the clean range it wouldn't necessarily indicate any problems with the service.
I've responded to the fault ticket on your account Here.
I appreciate you may have already been through some of the steps requested in this ticket, while going through the broadband troubleshooter online, however if you could drop us a message back here once you've responded to the ticket providing the information requested in bold, I'll get that picked up and booked in for you.
Thanks.

HarryB
Well thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I guess I'll just have to accept that I'm not going to get much better than I have.

I saw your ticket and I will say here what I wrote there.
There is a little problem - I no longer own a landline phone so I cannot test the line.

Hi @davneg,
I've tested your line today and we're not discovering any fault from our side however if you were previously experiencing issues with a noisy phone line on your end of things then our best bet to try and resolve the fault would be to investigate any phone problems first as fixing phoneline issues more often than not resolves broadband issues simultaneously.
If you don't currently own a phone, would you be able to borrow a handset from any friends or neighbours for a few minutes to see if the noise issues on the line persist? Other than that, it's still best to carry out the troubleshooting steps outlined in the ticket response that Harry sent to you and the troubleshooting guides for broadband issues specifically can be found here and here.
Please let us know how you get on with this and if any further issues still occur so we can investigate further if needs be.

@TheMightyAJ planning to test tomorrow now that I got hold of a landline phone.
PS: I found out my fibre broadband has increased by £1.00 and I pay fibre even though I don't get that speed...in normal circumstances I'd pass but at the end of these investigation it would be great to make sums.
PPS: I even received the reminder for the line rental saver - can I wait until I solve this before renewing? Could you please confirm I can wait until 24th August before paying the renewal?
thank you

I had to buy a standard phone (no big deal for £8) and the results are baffling.
I just connected it and there is no dial tone at all.
I did 3 scenarios:
- with modem/router plugged in in the double phone socket
- phone only plugged in the double phone socket
- phone only plugged in the test phone socket
The phone is new and a standard one (see details here) but the line is just mute/dead.
Internet is fine.
