Don't know how to move original posts from the home phone forum ref http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,133857.0.html but the phone problem is now a broadband problem, the broadband is now operating at around 30Mbps whereas previously it was around 64Mbps, could you check this out, I attach results from BT tests, do I need a line reset as I know they switched to another wire pair to enable the fix.

Hi keithplusnet,
I'd not worry about that, assuming that it's not affecting your phone service?
I've just run some diagnostic checks which don't indicate any obvious issues.
With that in mind I'd advise reporting a fault at http://faults.plus.net
if as I suspect we can identify a fault which can be reported with our broadband suppliers (BT Wholesale) they'll deal with a line reset if it's necessary. In case you were wondering we can't trigger these remotely as with ADSL as it requires a little engineer intervention at the fibre cabinet your line connects to.

Just relooking at the BT results it quotes my IP profile to be 38.71 surely this is where the fault lies?

The profile is calculated directly from your sync speed to the cabinet. Without the connection speed increasing, the profile won't increase. As Adam mentioned we don't have the ability to directly affect these values, so we'd need to go through a fault investigation to pin down and resolve the cause.
