Hello,
Moved in to the new place a week ago and the broadband is disconnecting few times a day.
I'm on the Ethernet cable and Wi-Fi.
Had problems with broadband first few days, so replaced: Filter, Router, Master socket and added Surge Protection Plug to the router. Still same problem.
See attached VDSL line stats, I think Line dB should be about 4dB, as i'm only 70m to the green box and 220m to Exchange.
Line Voltage is 49.2V, with looks alright.
I was thinking it's the boiler interfering with broadband, but it was off when I was at work, and it was still losing connection.
Could be the issue with the line outside or something at the pole or green box ?
Contacted the support, but waiting for reply.
Not sure any more what could be wrong, if you guys have any ideas would be great.
Thanks
Fixed! Go to the fix.

I would start with the basics, how is your phone line, is it noisy? Dial 17070 option 2 from a corded phone.
Do the same from the test socket - details in the help section if you need them.

Lots of ways, but you can pick up a phone for less than £10, even available in most supermarkets and is the best too when diagnosing line and broadband faults.

Just had the engineer on Monday, he checked that there was problem 20m away.
He checked first pole then he said, he will come back next day to check 2nd pole.
Next day he fixed it, the speed was 70mb and upload 18mb.
But after 12 hours I got the 1st disconnect and the speed went down to 60mb, then today I had two drops. So now im at 40mb/6mb.
It doesn't look like it stable, will have to contact them again.
Looks like the Line Attenuation is to high, and SNR margin to low.
I should have no errors, right ?

You know i am going to suggest the phone test again 😉 forgive the pun, but it does sound like you have noise on the line which is reducing your speeds.

I have done the Factory Restore and I think that should help it.
Bit Swap was off before in DSL setting. So now is on.
And the line looks maxed out, 80mb/20mb
I think that should solve it, if not will buy the home phone and will have to book engineer again.
Thanks.
