Hi there,
My router keeps dropping the WiFi. The light remains on but there is no Wireless signal broadcast.
I have tried disabling the Wi-Fi in the router, and re-enabling and turn off/on the phone/firetv box and back on but the only fix is for me to power-cycle the router, which is not ideal.
Please can I request a replacement router is sent out.
Thanks

Plusnet only guarantee the router/modems for 12 months. So I'm going to bet you've had your's for longer. If I wrong then sorry.
If I'm right then the options are
- If you have recontracted with Plusnet within the last 3 months then it will only cost you £6.99 P&P for a new device from Plusnet
- If you recontract now, then again only £6.99 P&P as you have just taken out a new 18/24 months contract
- Pay Plusnet £100 , yes ONE HUNDRED POUNDS
- Buy your own device for much less

It might be worth completing a Factory Reset as well, just to see if that resolves the issue before looking at an alternative router.

Surely if a Plusnet supplied router fails PN would replace it FOC in order for the customer to continue to have PN as their provider.
When I was with Be my router failed it was old as well they sent me a replacement FOC.
In fact it was a Sunday afternoon and their support confirmed it was faulty and much to my surprise at breakfast time next day it arrived.

If it's proven to be faulty and is within the 12 month warranty period, the router would be replaced.

That's good but if over 12 month no you say well if a provider did that to me I would walk.
You must bear in mind a breaking down router user is most likely out of contract, and a new provider would be supplying a brand new router.
