Facebook app really slow

Since moving to Plusnet last week I have had some instances where the iOS Facebook app is just sat, seemingly waiting for data. Dye itching to my old virgin connection (which was only terminated today) resolves the issue, likewise switching wifi off and connecting over 4G. I have only experienced this issue when connected to Plusnet.

I have been in dialog with the plusnethelp twitter account, but they seem to be heading down the line of "it works on your laptop, so it isn't a problem", despite the Facebook website and app being different.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I'm hoping I won't regret moving to Plusnet.

works fine on my android ,, must be something with the iOS  have you tried uninstalling it and a fresh Facebook app install ?

I had a similar experience with my android phone,so binned the FB app,and installed Metal,which gives me FB and Twitter,and is not so resource hungry,and faster.

This is happening again, it is almost like Plusnet have a DNS issue with Facebooks CDN or something like that. The connection to 99% of sites, especially speed checkers is fast, but I need to switch to 4G to use Facebook or instagram on my iPhone.

I'm also disappointed about the lack help from Plusnet about this.

Mainly Facebook and instagram.

Just done another Speedtest & getting 30Mbps down/20Mbps up. Was expecting nearer 80Mbps down.

That's slower than your estimated speeds?   It's not slow enough to cause problems with apps like Facebook, but if you are having line instability which is causing the speed drop, it might be causing other issues.

Try the speedtests again later today and see if you keep getting those slower speeds , and if so, get a fault raised with our helpdesk.

Have you had any updates regarding this? I'm also having the same issue. Everything else seems fine, just extremely slow instagram and facebook iOS apps

They are both FB apps, could be some common reason they are affected.  Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling and seeing it if clears anything?

Yes have tried uninstalling and installing the apps, have cleared my network settings too. Still having the same issue

Just checking, does it perform fine over the mobile networks, or on someone else's WiFi?

I am still having this issue. Basically if I want to use Facebook or Instagram apps on my phone I have to switch to 4G. I am not at all impressed at the lack of support I have had from Plusnet on this issue. Hopefully now that other people are experiencing this they may actually look in to it, rather than trying to fob me off by saying to use the mobile website instead.
