FTTC waiting list

I have checked the openreach cabinet checker and it say fttc has a waiting list. How do I get on this waiting list for when a free fibre port becomes available? TIA

Hi there.

Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do to join the waiting list I'm afraid.

I'd recommend checking the Openreach checker until it shows as available.

Thanks Matthew. Shame they cant add more fibre ports to my local cabinet. Is there a way to see if they are intending to upgrade my local cabinet?

It depends on what needs doing.

In some cases new ports can be added easily by fitting new cards to the cabinet.

If the cabinet is physically full with no room for new cards then they often build a new cabinet.

There isn't I'm afraid.

As far as I'm aware Openreach do monitor cabinets which have capacity issues and put plans in place.
