Re: FAO Gandalf for my mate fibre problem

@Gandalf My mate say thanks for the ticket reply. But he want to know if he going to be charged £65 by an engineer in the last three engineers visit? As I know u told me that you will ensure he won't be charged by this few weeks ago. Also he say he will see how it go from today with his current hub one router and will monitoring on his line for the next few days to ensure there won't be no more intermittent drops or the sync rate dropped. If it does, then he will ask u for a new router replacement.

Re: FAO Gandalf for my mate fibre problem

@iangilf Yes it does. But I am ok at the moment @ 74Meg throughput speed as DLM will put me back on 80Meg soon if all possible.

Re: FAO Gandalf for my mate fibre problem

Yeah as DLM counting this below and send the data back to server at midnight every days and then the server sent it back to server to decided if DLM need to act, if it does, it normally trigger resync around 1:15am, sometimes 8am. And if DLM think it will improvement then it will resync normally in afternoon after 1pm.

Since Link time = 1 days 14 hours 41 min 13 sec
FEC: 3007 679
CRC: 0 140

Re: FAO Gandalf for my mate fibre problem

@Gandalf My mate has confirmed that his hub one is now at the maximum sync rate as G.INP has applied by DLM.

His BT IP Profile are now at 77.34Mb Sync at 79.9Mb. Can you please check his PN side profile as it not matched BT side end. His PN Current Line Speed are 68.6Mb.

He also saying old dsl cable, new dsl cable, faulty hub one is nothing to do with his speed issues. Look like engineer has fixed it somewhere else probably BT network etc or exchange as his line is now much stable since last engineer visit.

His bt speed test result as he forward to me.

Re: FAO Gandalf for my mate fibre problem

Hi @goldenfibre,

I've taken a look into the account and boosted the speed profile to the highest rate that the line can achieve, which should hopefully be reflected now if your friend runs some more testing now. If there's still any issues please let us know, but hopefully this should sort it out.

Re: FAO Gandalf for my mate fibre problem

@Gandalf My mate are getting fed up with this now. His fibre play up again. Down to 40 Meg. He had enough now after third engineer visit unable to fix this and want to leave plusnet but he still in contract for 18 months. He regret now after agreed 18 months contract before his fibre start to having issues problem. I told him after third engineer visits he might be able to leave plusnet if plusnet accepted this is fault down to his fibre and can leave plusnet without remaining contract fee. But I am not 100% sure if plusnet ruling on his contract thought. I do feel bad myself now after recommend plusnet to him. What a big let down by plusnet and openreach on his line.
