Exchange Only lines and Fibre

Is there any chance that I will be able to get FTTP/FTTC since FTTC isn't supported on my line? I waited 6 years with slow speeds that would drop out 24/7 to finally have to watch everyone but me getting the speeds I waited for.

Re: Exchange Only lines and Fibre

Round here some exchanges have only EO lines.  What they are doing is to fit the FTTC cabinet just outside the exchange.   This doesn't help users on long lines, but allows people in the village to get FTTC speeds.    Are you rural?   In many areas Community Councils or Parish Councils will know what's being planned.

Is your area covered under the BDUK or Digital Scotland schemes?

If so, you need to contact the local authority responsible and find out the plans for your EO line.

Just a heads up that in my experience dealing with MP cases, it's extremely hard to get movement in getting fibre availability with an EO line. The above comments would be my first port of call though.
