Ebay keeps timing out

Hi
I am trying to pay for an item and Ebay keeps timing out. Paypal and Ebay both have confirmed their systems are working on their end.
I have tried wired and wireless.
Different browsers
Different devices
Flushed DNS
Tried GhostVPN
Every other webite works
Reset Router and Modem (Huwaei and AC68U)
NVRAM reset on router
Yet I still get this : Error code:  70245
Is there a solution to this?

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

I have tried 4G connection and still can't make payment. This guy is beginning to think I am some kind of scammer as I had him relist the item as the voucher I had was tied to another account.

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

Check my thread.....
there seems to be a major delay on one of the routers / peers in the LINX exchange in London.
ebay and a few other sites are experiencing problems.

The main My eBay : Watch list  page seems reasonably OK, BUT other eBay pages such as "Messages" timeout -

I started seeing intermittent issues yesterday with eBay and a few other IPv4 websites, but at the same time tunneled IPv6 websites were/are unaffected (via Hurricane Electric IP Transit out of "Telehouse East" London), therefore I assumed that this is another Plusnet routing or peering issue, rather than eBay themselves having a connectivity issue.

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

On my ADSL line it was getting better around midday but currently things have worsened with many ebay links timing out.
Any solution to this?
Has the fault been tracked down yet?

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

Cannot access my Ebay Messages either!
Can someone help for me to produce statistics if necessary to investigate.
Thanks in advance.
I am on ADSL though.

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

As of 30 seconds ago it all works for me via ADSL so the routing issue still appears to exist, for some at least.

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

Parts still failing and timing out.
It's a great pity that you are left to discover the reasons and source of these faults by searching yourself.

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

Have been having this issue (with eBay.co.uk and a few other sites) since the evening of the 25th. Both at work and home (both Plus Net). Plus Net have said, after many back and forth conversations that there is a 'fault' on both lines, different totally unrelated faults, that will coincidentally both take 72 hours to be solved.
I'm guessing that there is an issue with something and they don't want to look responsible. Looking elsewhere there are a lot of people affected while trying to use eBay and many are suggesting it's eBay at fault. This is of course possible but at the same time my broadband speed is very very slow on all speed tests that have been done in the last 2 days, and why would Plus Net say there were faults on the lines. Both companies were doing major work on the evening that the issues started so may be both at fault.
If you need to get onto eBay try using ebay.ie instead, I have been today and it's only timed out once on me compared with every time I do something.

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

Looks to be a intermittent problem.
Just been using my ebay account including messages with no problem. 5 minutes later the listings work but can't access messages.

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

Thanks for the replies this is a really strange issue.
Ebay messages time out
I cannot complete transactions etc
Kitz mentioned there is some new routing going on and I wonder if this is causing a problem? Only last month or so Imgur was acting up also and member on Overclockers UK on PN had the same problems too.
It doesn't help when nobody takes responsibility as I am just left scratching my head with a pissed of seller who wants paying for something I bought but cannot complete the transaction.

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

I've just accessed my ebay messages and it's working again now.
Don't see how it can be a PN issue when the listing pages are working.  Undecided

Re: Ebay keeps timing out

I'm still getting request timed outs using tracert.
Listings are fine but when I do actions such as send message or make payment then the gateway it uses to access those services is causing something to fail.
I'm not putting the blame on anyone. I just want to know what's going on and have contacted Ebay and Paypal also.
