Early activation - fibre broadband

We have our router and our landline has been switched from BT to Plusnet. There was a post on this forum about early activation of fibre broadband being possible if we are in sync - this requires the router to be switched on to check which light is showing etc.  However, the router instructions state that it's not to be setup until we get the text message confirming that the Internet connection is ready.

Basically I'm trying to find if we can be set up early - we've been given midnight tonight as the deadline. At the very least, it would be good to have some idea of when we can expect to be setup.
