Re: ECI Cabinets

Just a heads up to anyone who registered interest in the trial - my line just resynced and G.INP is now enabled on downstream.  My downstream connection speed has jumped by around 7Mbps at the moment - interleaving was on prior to the resync and it is currently off.

Thanks again Bob for taking the time to sort this out. Smiley

Re: ECI Cabinets

@hex what was your sync rate before and after?

Re: ECI Cabinets

65742 downstream connection speed before resync, 72479 after (75736 attainable now and was similar before resync)... will have to see how things settle down.

Prior to some new builds in the area my attainable used to be mid 80's with connection speed maxed.

Re: ECI Cabinets

My connection resynced about an hour ago, g.inp is on. Got an extra 7 meg on the download and 1 meg on the upload and 0 FECS since compared to about 10k every 5 mins before. Also latency is 0.27ms rather than 8ms before

Re: ECI Cabinets

so in order to see if we are on the trial we just have to wait to see if things improve? anyway if finding out if our lines were put forward?

Re: ECI Cabinets

Before, I was always synced at about 41/7 to 43/7 and am now synced at 50/8. May latency to the cabinet was 8ms (low interleaving) which is now 0.27ms. I said earlier I had about 10,000 FECS every 5 mins but I meant to type every 5 seconds, not mins. I now have the usual FECS burst on connection which was  0 / 111978 when I resynced 2 hours ago and is now 0 / 111979 so pretty much no errors happening on the line anymore. I didn't log my stats from before but here they are now g.inp is on..

Line State:UP [0x0]
Line Mode:G.993.2 (VDSL2)
Line Uptime:2h 1m 11s
Annex:B
Profile:17a
Data Rate:51.437 Mb/s / 7.856 Mb/s
Max. Attainable Data Rate (ATTNDR):49.830 Mb/s / 8.086 Mb/s
Latency:0.27 ms / 0.0 ms
Line Attenuation (LATN):20.4 dB / 25.9 dB
Signal Attenuation (SATN):19.8 dB / 25.7 dB
Noise Margin (SNR):5.3 dB / 6.2 dB
Aggregate Transmit Power(ACTATP):6.7 dB / 6.8 dB
Forward Error Correction Seconds (FECS):0 / 111979
Errored seconds (ES):6 / 6250
Severely Errored Seconds (SES):1 / 3
Loss of Signal Seconds (LOSS):0 / 1526
Unavailable Seconds (UAS):33 / 33
Header Error Code Errors (HEC):0 / 0
Non Pre-emtive CRC errors (CRC_P):0 / 0
Pre-emtive CRC errors (CRCP_P):0 / 0
ATU-C System Vendor ID:Infineon 178.6
Power Management Mode:L0 - Synchronized

Ther errors you see are what appear when the router is syncing, after that there is no more errors, just 1 FECS on the upload since the resync.

EDIT: The FECS on my line at a rate of 10, 000 per 5 seconds before were on the download. Upload was always much more stable although it would sporadically get a few thousand here and there it was the download that always flooded with FECS constantly.

Re: ECI Cabinets

Depends on your router. If your'e using the router Plusnet provides I don't think there's any way to tell other than to check if you're syncing higher than usual and your pings are lower than usual.

Re: ECI Cabinets

Same here my router was interleaved at 58mbps last night, its now:

64857 with an actual inp of 47 😀

i will keep an eye on the other stats daily, my noise margin is 6.3 down and 6.1 up

i wil however have to ask in a separate thread for an ip profile reset as my download speed always sticks, i think its because im on a static ip.

Re: ECI Cabinets

Just to say like everyone else’s my line has jumped from 38meg to 44meg this morning and the ping is now sitting at 10-13ms from 19-20ms so a nice little increase on my long line 😁
Thank you @bobpullen 👍

Re: ECI Cabinets

Have just got in from a night-shift to find my router syncing at approx 5mbps more than last night, so very pleased to be taking part in this, thanks very much to those who have sorted this out for us!

Re: ECI Cabinets

Great news here, attainable downstream has increased by 7Mbps plus ping has reduced by some 10ms. Thanks a lot Bob for sorting this out for us….

Re: ECI Cabinets

I would be looking at upgrading to 80/20 with stats like that so you can get the full benefit of the increase.
