Drop outs

I am experiencing intermittent drop outs. Its whilst generally surfing on a desktop or mobile device, both using WiFi. Sometimes the connection will go completely, followed by orange warning light on my router. Other times the light stays blue on the router, but my device is left buffering with no connection.

I’ve been having similar problems since last night too.. im in Chester.. as usual I can’t find any confirmation of a problem or works being carried out here

Thanks for getting in touch - sorry to hear you're experiencing drop outs.


If the orange warning light is being displayed by the router that usually indicates a physical break in the connection between yourself and the BT exchange. Conversely, if the light stays blue that's usually a wifi issue.


I'd initially recommend looking at our troubleshooting options here


If you follow that through and the orange light continues to display when the connection drops, I'd suggest that you raise a fault here
