I must admit i am no network expert , but was a bit perturb when i had to reinstall BF1  a big file 55gig  @ 9.5 MB/s 

but everything went slooooow  i would not thought it would , or should have this affect  HuhBF1.PNG

Most platforms like Steam and Origin will max out your connection and can seriously cripple the experience for anybody else using it at the time. In Steam you can set bandwidth limits, and I'm assuming you can do the same in Origin. Could be worth either looking into that or setting up QoS on your router.

What would you expect to happen? The download stopping so the speedtest can run full whack?

If you have 2 downloads both wanting 100% of available throughput, neither will get it.

If both were running for the same amount of time, in all likelihood they would average out at around 50% each.

One thing worth pointing out as well is the 9.5MB/s is actually 76Mb/s
