Got plusnet on 16th and I have noticed that my download speed is about half what is reported in the plusnet one hub. Currently sync'd at 70.81 Mbps but only getting about 34Mbps. (wired connection). With BT I was getting over 50Mbps download.
The router / line is also disconnecting every 24hrs or so.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Have you still got the BT router?
If so suggest you use that, you just need to change username and password - details in the router section.

I still had the bt router and tried it however the password can't contain a '+' on the bt router so no luck with that.

@wall-e Don't give up so easily change your password on your account and enter it into the BT hub.

Hi @wall-e
Do you have a static IP with Plusnet?
If so it could be a stuck Plusnet profile.
First can you check the BT Wholesale IP profile via the BT speedtest site:
https://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
After running the basic speedtest, click on the additional diagnostic box, then the Telephone number option, enter your telephone number and the run diagnostic.
Please post the download test IP profile figure.
Next log into the member centre:
https://www.plus.net/member-centre/broadband
Please post the Current Line Speed (Download) figure.
Regards
Richard

Hmm
Nothing obvious wrong there with the profiles then!
Are you conducting the speed test on a PC with a wired Ethernet cable to the router or a device connected by WiFi?
If by WiFi could you try the Ethernet cable method?

Thanks for all the suggestions
I've been trying some things out and think I may have got to the bottom of it. The wired connection passes through a bt mini connector (powerline). What is strange is the powerlines worked without any issues until the switch over from BT last week. I factory reset these and now I get 50+ !! On another note I found on 5ghz wifi on the works laptop next to the hub I was getting 60+ although this drops off pretty sharp outside the living room.
