Download has dropped to 0.09 mbs overnight

Hello,
Our download speed has dropped from 58 Mbps to 0.09 Mbps overnight, I've tried rebooting the modem, router and using a ppoe connection to no avail. Is this related to the overnight maintenance?

Same here, have tried all the usual. Assumed at first just the shonky wi-fi on the PN router, but seems to be the actual connection at fault. 01252 exchange.

Plusnet had maintenance going on last night - probably related to that as it doesn't seem to be fully back yet.

I'm on the 01264 exchange. I spotted sky has a service status saying there is a BT outage affecting Basingstoke and surrounding areas, but our exchange is not listed.

Yes Plusnet haven't learnt the phrase if it's not broken don't try and fix it! I would hazard a guess that if this maintenance was allegedly due to take 7 hours and is now over running then Plusnets techs don't know what they're doing. If maintenance is to cause this much disruption then you simply can't do it. You have to find another way to solve the problem. Imagine this sort of service being actioned on the Stock Exchange! I have raised a complaint and asked what compensation they're offering.

Basingstoke would probably hit us here then. I see I'm #77 in the queue - pretty big issues, I guess.

Mine is .5Mbps. I'm nowhere near Basingstoke so must be countrywide

I'm down in Devon and having to post this on my mobile data as PN is currently crawling at 0.05mb download for me. The upload speed is fine, though and nothing is loading. Currently on the 72mb unlimited fibre package.

Same here, 0.01 - 0.07mbs download, upload at 3.57mb. Tested at approx 7.10am wireless on ipad. Could not connect to BT wholesale website on hardwired connection.

Rebooted router several time - no joy!

Strange IP address and default gateway seen on router?

Woke in Wrexham to find 0.5 speeds.

Looks like this problem is bigger than I thought.

Could we please have some update on the ETA? This seems like a major outage and a lot of us rely heavily on the broadband.

About half way through my queue for the live chat, hope that might provide a bit of clarity so long as the reps are better briefed than usual.

Argh! So does this just happen on a regular basis now then? And I'm expected to continue to pay £32 a month for it? Its so infuriating! I can't access anything.

Re: Download has dropped to 0.09 mbs overnight

The BT service status page is pretty lit up, but no-one seems to have joined to dots to acknowledge that it's not many isolated incidents as presented but more likely a global screw-up.
