Hi,
The sync Speed on my fibre is 39999/9997 (with retx high) but I cannot achieve downloads above 21Mb/s https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1566158254298536855 (today) https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1565652003122378955 (12/08/2019). I've tried iPerf3 and this gives the same ceiling at 21Mb/s.
Anyone with an idea of what's wrong?
David

Thanks for getting in touch @davidf5
I've tested your line today and I can see that there was a stuck profile on your line which was restricting your download speeds. This has now been removed and you should now be getting speeds of around 38mbps.
If you do not see any immediate improvement please reboot your router in the first instance
Let us know how you get on

Hi Matthew,
It needed both the modem and router rebooting, but has had somewhat mixed results:
https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1566241898765447955
shows downloads restricted to under 10Mb/s (httpx1) but achieves 30Mb/s (httpx6). When I run the test which is meant to be sensitive to congestion it fairs worse at 6.6Mb/s and 26Mb/s:
https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1566242581526914855
Iperf3 got up to 35Mb/s when using 10 connections in parallel but only 15Mb/s with a single connection.
This may be due to the time(congestion?), so I'll try again after 10.
Just for the avoidance of doubt, I was the sole connection to the router during the tests.

Hi Matthew,
tried again, now that it's after 10 to rule out congestion.
Single threaded still tops out at ~20Mb/s using both iperf and Thinkbroadband testing, but I can now get 35Mb/s using 2 or more connections in parallel. It seems like there is a restriction still in place somewhere.
TBB: https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1566249532355168555
Two connection in parallel test: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AofPcWieuJD2trphvWtMuwpK4rUoNw?e=9O2flV
Single connection test: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AofPcWieuJD2trpiOmTPWEg32tov-A?e=Z8K4wD
I should say that the TBB was using the router solely for the test and that the traffic visible on the iperf tests is the pppoe traffic.

Thanks for getting back to us @davidf5.
Are you able to please run a test over at speedtest.btwholesale.com ?
Once done, please raise the issue via faults.plus.net, letting me know here when done so that we can raise the issue to our suppliers.

That seems to be a very strange result: My profile seems to be 10Mb/s down which isn't borne out by the result or previous tests
TBB still says the same as before https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1566322032554377555
I'll raise a fault
1. Downstream Test: -provides background information.

That result was too strange. I rebooted the router and modem and it seems to have cleared the remaining single thread problem:
https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1566326020647463655 - now it looks normal
Thanks
