Well it looks like I will finally be getting fibre soon (I won't hold my breath though) BT have been working hard on my local cabinet, its only been there 2 years!
Unfortunatly BT have updated the estimates and they are really low!
High | Low | High | Low |
---|
VDSL Range A (Clean) | 64 | 49 | 15.7 |
10.3 |
VDSL Range B (Impacted) | 48.3 | 27.4 | 12.3 | 5.7 |
I remember reading something about PN will not sell you the fibre extra if your speed estimates are too low! I could get the 40/2 one but 2Mbps upload is too slow
Is this still the case?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Good Evening
I've taken a look at your account and ran some tests, looking at things we should be able to offer you the 80/20 package if that's what you wish for(of course speeds being what your line can handle), but we'll need to wait until the service is fully enabled to say for sure, currently the activation of that cabinet is set for the 30th of June so I'd say it would be best to check a bit closer to then to see if anything changes.

That isn't low. 64Mb/s is a pretty good figure for the upper estimate. I'm a little surprised by the downstream figures though. I don't understand why the highest it gives you is only 15.7Mb/s.

I've not got the check in front of me as I'm on my way home however If I remember correctly that is the upstream and the formatting just got a bit misaligned
EDIT: just checked one of my own lines, from left to right the first 2 are downstream, the next 2 are upstream, upper and lower estimates

I think the format is messed up, the attachement might help.
I can just remember reading about if your impacted speeds are below 40 they won't give you fibre extra.

Just a heads up that we use the lower side of a clean line as the official estimate. So in your case it's be 49/10 with potential to exceed that.
