Do Openreach throttle speeds? ...... until someone complains
On a 80/20 service. Well before Christmas, my speeds have been going down and down. Looking at my previous TBB speed tests I see at one point I was down to 36mb/s. Plusnet have been fairly good altering things but still the throughput was stuck down in the low 50's. I got notified that an appointment for an engineer visit was booked in for this coming Tuesday.
So what has happened this week? Certainly nothing has changed my end but my speeds have been creeping back up. A dodgy joint remade or the wick turned back up.
I won't be cancelling the engineer visit though, previous experience over the years, has told me that would be a bad move.
