Re: Disgust by Plusnet Provisioning team

Will do Chris. The Hub One still on but remain on orange light with red icon flashes on and off all the times with no DSL Sync at all. Hope the engineer will come tomorrow between 1pm and 6pm and put the standard ADSL2+ back on until the unlimited fibre back on (19th July) but my parents cannot understand why can't the engineer put the fibre back on tomorrow rather than to wait until 19th July?

It's so frustrated for them.

Re: Disgust by Plusnet Provisioning team

Afraid that's not how it works. The faults investigation tomorrow will be looked into by a fault engineer.

The engineer that goes out on the 19th July will be to provide a service.

Even if the faults engineer could theoretically complete the work at the cab to FTTC tomorrow, records and such need to be updated which happens when the order completes on the BTW systems. Without that the service likely wouldn't sync or auth.

It's a lot more complex than simply plugging something in, unfortunately.

Re: Disgust by Plusnet Provisioning team

Thanks Gandalf. Will tell my parents to explain to them. So, tomorrow it will be normal ADSL2+ reconnection by engineer. Then a week after that 19th July the engineer will switch it over to Fibre (I take it as there is no need for engineer to attend the property on the 19th July?)

Re: Disgust by Plusnet Provisioning team

My parents are expecting engineer today between 1pm and 6pm (I do hope engineer will turn up). I told my parents to tell the engineer there is no dsl synchronise if were asked what was wrong with the fault line. Also to tell the engineer that plusnet have supplied a new hub one router as a new equipment.

Will let u know how it get on with the engineer later today.

Re: Disgust by Plusnet Provisioning team

Updated:

The engineer has left the property. He say there was no dsl at the box, reconnect from the exchange to the box. Test the line all went ok now.

Line sync at 11721k downstream with snr at 6.1db and 1131k upstream with snr at 5.9db (ADSL2+ at present) until switch over to Unlimited Fibre on the 19th July.

Re: Disgust by Plusnet Provisioning team

Is it possible to target 3dB snr on the downstream to gain more sync rate on their line until fibre on the 19th July?
