Are the disconnects (not instigated by me) and the variations in connect speed anything to be worried about:

BT do seem to have upped my profile:
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-51.96 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 51.96 Mbps

In my opinion no. I would be very surprised if Plusnet recognised any significant problems that needed attention.

It for sure should NOT be dropping that frequently I would get it looked at.

Going by this thread, it won't be dropping frequently enough for anyone to do anything about it.

Thanks @ejs. 6 drops in 72 hours is a figure I was looking for. I'm sure that @Gandalf has also stated a 24 hour maximum figure (4?) not long ago. I have looked but can't find it.

This is generally a guideline that we'd go by.

I think our suppliers define an intermittent connection as 10 drops in a 24 hour period, but again it's only a guideline. When raising a fault to BTW/Openreach, we'd look at the bigger picture.
With that said, going back over the past 30 days there sadly isn't enough for us to raise a fault.
Testing your line is showing your speeds at a good level, way over your estimates of 32mbps to 44mbps.
Sync Status | In Sync |
Downstream Speed | 53.7 Mbps |
Upstream Speed | 7.7 Mbps |
No copper issues detected:
Voice Line Test Result | Pass |
With your length of line to the cabinet, occasional drops can happen.
Estimated Line Length In Metres | 910.3 |
Your circuit is on a 4db SNR target though which may be the cause.
Profile Name | 0.128M-80M Downstream 4dB, Retransmission High - 0.128M-20M Upstream, Error Protection Off |
Sadly there isn't much we can do about that.
With all that said, your connection is a lot stable over the past 15 days than it was at the beginning of the month.

I wasn't actually going to raise a fault - was more interested if the speed changes were "normal". As I said BT have upped my download profile to over 50Mbps - where a few months ago (when I was suffering from a problem that had been ongoing for months) it was in the low 40s....

At one point I was down to 3.1dB (as you can see from the Dec 1 connection) and now its 3.2 -- the SNR does seem to be wobbling round quite a bit.
