Disconnections?

Hi.

I think my router may be disconnecting briefly several times, mainly noticed when watching BT Sport or catch-up TV in recent weeks.

Can I please have a graph of my connections?

Thanks.

Are there any particular lights which flash when your connection's dropping? Are your devices also connecting over WiFi or wired to the router using an ethernet cable?

Re: Disconnections?

@Gandalf

Thanks for the chart and the line test.

I mostly notice the dropouts on BT Sport, where the sound keeps dropping out, and I sometimes get pauses when the YouView box says it has lost internet connection when I'm watching catch-up, but it generally comes back on after a few seconds.

For the time being I'm putting this down to my homeplugs or the YouView box. I did have a long ethernet cable running to the box, but it had to be run under a door and it got damaged as a result.

I happy my connection isn't dropping for the time being - prior to a router reboot a few weeks ago it had been up for exactly a year. I do have an alternative router I might try next weekend, just in case my now aging Bullion router is on the way out.

I'll report back after I've tested the other router.

Re: Disconnections?

Thanks for getting back to me @Jaggies

No problem and sounds like a plan.

A year long uptime? Pretty amazing!
