Did something just go splat?

Just had a sudden case of slow loading on a lot of sites including this forum.
Disconnected from plusnet (Dropped the PPPoE connection) and things seemed to speed up again (My Router will send traffic via my Virgin Media connection if my PPP session to plusnet drops).
Edit:
23:12 - Brought the P/N connection back online and it seems to be ok now, Still not 100% sure if it was P/N or something my end.

Was getting poor performance on FTTC earlier today too - dropped & reconnected our PPP session, presumably switching to another gateway, and all is good now...

My speed has halved too.  And pings >70ms.  Did you reconnect just the router - rather than BT modem?

I'd just dropped / disconnected the PPP session on the router & reconnected... that was however before about 3 router reboots to try and sort out an annoying wifi problem which would have been the equivalent of rebooting modem & router if you're using 2 devices.
