DNS lookup failure on one PN server

Looking up www.dansdata.com works fine on both PN DNS IPs (9 and 10), but when looking up dansdata.com it fails on 9 but works on 10. Checked on 8.8.8.8 and works fine for both.
Any ideas?

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

We also need to know which gateway you are on to identify the correct DNS server (there are multiple servers with the same IP).

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

Just for info, Level 3 seems to be pretty bad in parts.

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

Plusnets dns is now resolving dansdata.com here.
But it's only in the last half hour the name started being resolved.
Update 1:45pm:
It's proving to be intermittent, sometime the name is resolved sometime not.  Undecided
No problem with non-PN resolvers.

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

I had no fails when testing around the time of my first post, However, re-testing again now gives me fails across all 4 ip's

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

Is this in anyway related to the thread about web pages stalling on loading?

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

@seahog
This is related to 1 specific domain not resolving.
I'm getting fails for our DNS addresses too, but when performing a +trace on dig it gives me a response.
Let me see what else we can suggest...

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

Strangely I've now just got responses from our DNS servers.
@alexhulse We're probably going to need to look into this from a support ticket, if you can open one for us and let me know the ticket ID I'll point it in the right direction.

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

Got it, thanks. It started working for me for a period and then stopped again. I've told the guys who to get this ticket passed on to, so hopefully they'll get that picked up.

Re: DNS lookup failure on one PN server

I suspect that this isn't a Plusnet problem. Trying the lookup on the office DNS server (ISP exponential-e) also fails.
