Could not configure IP parameters

Awoke this morning to have a red internet light on my plusnet router and when I logged in via the interface got the above error. When carrying out the broadband connection checker gave the errors No IPv4 address configured and IPv6 disabled for this service. Have rebooted both

No idea on the workings of the router or what the error means so before I try and speak to somebody at plusnet wonder if anybody could give me some pointers. I should point out has numerous losses of connectivity in the last month or so, sometimes 4 or 5 in an hour so not sure if router or modem could be on its way out or whether its a line problem?
