Re: Could my speed be better?

I'm not really sure where this leaves me to be honest, probably back at the start of this thread? That the banding/high retransmission is holding back any improvement?

Looking at what's been logged so far, the ILQ is showing as green so the only reason I can think of that DLM hasn't kicked in is because the line is banded. Oh well, it's probably worth me observing this over the next few weeks.

Errors so far today for those interested. Downstream is rock solid stable:

Re: Could my speed be better?

I have to admit, a small part of me is wondering what will happen if the line is reset by an engineer to remove the banding.

The answer is likely to be nothing though Sad because the downstream speed/sync hasn't increased from 64.1

Re: Could my speed be better?

That's what I've been dicussing with Kitz, that remote resets aren't removing banding.

Though from my understanding, DLM should be able to remove banding itself? The rock solid stats and ILQ status make me wonder what the heck is going on! Smiley

Re: Could my speed be better?

Ha ha, yeah DLM should remove the banding by itself if it feels it to be necessary.

Re: Could my speed be better?

Figured this would be worth revisiting - DLM doesn't seem to have done anything despite the line be rock solid. If the line is goes on to retransmission high, does it never come off?
