Yesterday and today we've found the internet service to be worse than we expect. Investigation has shown that the internet has dropped to 7mbps yesterday and 8 mbps today. Checking the line for noise, both times has shown that there is no noise on the line (although there has been in the past few weeks on and off) and after a router reboot we've connected again at over 35mbps which is what we would expect.
As the service has dropped below the guaranteed minimum on a number of occasions, by a lot, what do I do next?

HI @egg1000
How are you checking the internet speed?
A speedtest on a device connected by WiFi , a PC connected by Ethernet or checking the Line/Synch speed as reported by the router?
Internet speeds can be reduced by interfering radio signals from neighbours WiFi, Microwave Ovens, Wireless Video sensors etc.
If it is a speedtest an a device connected by WiFi, can you please check on a PC connected by Ethernet?
If the wired speedtest is slow or the router is reporting a slow line/synch speed then there is a troubleshooter at:
Depending on the results of the troubleshooting process,a fault will be raised with Plusnet.
Another potential issue, at Christmas, is electrical noise radiated fr the from poorly designed Christmas lights interfering with the Routers VDSL "telephone line" signal. If the routers line/synch connection speed is slow, tt could be worth checking to see if Christmas lights could be causing the problem.
Regards
Richard

The router connection page.... it's gone again since posting. We're back here. Disconnect, reconnect at random.

Could Christmas tree light affect the wired connection to the phone line, the slow connection is between the socket and the router. There are no Christmas lights anywhere near the router. Wifi isn't enabled on the router.
