Connection dropped last night, still down today

My connection promptly stopped working last night while I was just sat watching Netflix.  I tried troubleshooting but couldn't find a fault with the BT Modem, the Wireless connection, or the LAN connection between the router and the Modem.  Nothing has changed in my household in terms of software or hardware for instance.
The problem was still there this morning - is there a known problem in the Gloucestershire area?  I note that BB maintenance was scheduled for between 6 and 8 this morning for instance, but as I'm Fibre I wouldn't expect this to affect me

I've carried out some work which should have sorted this.
You may need to reboot your router to get back online.

Have tried rebooting both the modem and the router (with suitable delays between) and still no access

Set to PPPoE, with my username@plusdsl.net and password for login details
