Connection being Throttled?

Hi Plusnet,

I have noticed of late I am getting very low download speeds on certain protocols such as usenet and p2p on my fibre connection. I have tried to both via direct connection and routed through a VPN yet still struggle to get speeds greater than 900kb/sec if I'm lucky.

 

I have checked my current line speed as requested in your fibre speed faults thread and have the following information:

Phone exchange:LONGTON

Estimated line speed:80Mb (This may vary between 70.7Mb and 80Mb) - Checked on 2017-07-04 16:23:54

Current line speed:75.6 Mb

 

I have used the BT wholesale speed check which has given a speed of 73.66Mbps, Speedtest.net reports similar speeds.

 

Could you check my connection from your end to see if there are any issues that you are aware of or if indeed my connection is being throttled?
