Hi,
I am having trouble accessing certain sites from my network. Tried pinging these sites and all requests fail. Is this a common issue? if so, does anyone know a fix?

Hi I'm having the same problem. Rebooting everything seems to help but for me its not just websites. My Sky box keeps loosing connection and so does my Tablet and Amazon firestick. It all began about a week ago when noticed my cell phone was using data rather than wifi. So checked and I had a connection however was unable to access Facebook on any of my devices. After rebooting my router and everything all was working fine again, except my Sky and Firestick, both of which are intermittent.

I am also having problems accessing some sites. Two sites that are not working since this morning:
store.steampowered.com (the Steam store is not working, other parts of Steam like the discussions are working fine)
I have checked via a private VPN that the sites are working fine when bypassing the Plusnet network.

The forum seems to be deleting my posts if I put a website address. So I will just mention the names of the sites that are inaccessible since yesterday for me: Reddit and the Steam Store.

The problem is with Plusnet's DNS (that turns the address into an IP address).
To fix this change your DNS server on your device to point to 8.8.8.8, this is a public one run by google.

Same here. Reddit unavailable on iPad/Safari iPad/App PC/IE PC/Chrome. However, IS available over phone's 3G which works across vodafone sure signal - i.e. broadband - just different servers I guess - any idea what is going on?

Morning all.
Strong suspicion this is something to do with our Safeguard/Parental controls solution. If any of you have this switched on (or have ever switched it on in the past), then you'll be auto-assigned the following DNS resolvers:
213.120.234.42 213.120.234.38
These are not returning the correct IP for Reddit:
C:\Users\mail>nslookup reddit.com 213.120.234.42 Server: indnsc92.bt.net Address: 213.120.234.42 Non-authoritative answer: Name: reddit.com Address: 81.139.57.97
We're looking into it...
