Can't stay connected - router losing connection / sync constantly

Normally we have a reliable connection - rock solid (unless someone at PN or BT decides to tinker with the firmware).
Whatever is happening tonight is unusual but i cannot use the internet at all. It's been a total pain reconfiguring one machine to use my phone (its a pain in the grass machine).
Anyway the red light keeps coming on - usually within seconds of the blue one. It's one of your safecom things i think that you supplied. Will someone please try to sort this out please. If you've pushed a firmware upgrade i'd be grateful if you cease doing so. When this router first came here it didn't work properly in the admin pages. Then eventually it magically did - no changes to hardware etc, it just started working after I'd found a reference to it phoning home in the logs.
Fed up tonight, i've spent a lot of time faffing around.

I think this has been mysteriously resolved somehow. Either way it would be nice if someone could confirm that no more updates will be pushed to or downloaded by the router?
The network status page on it that shows the connected devices didn't fix itself you know.

Were you going to talk about the router updates?
Can you even see the loss of sync from two nights ago?
Seems like your reply is a bit short if you ask me.
