Can't connect. Tried every possible solution that came to mind

New Plusnet user. A bit disappointed by the fact that the helpdesk is impossible to be reached as the call drops "due to high volume"...."and please try at another time".
On with the subject: the service was meant to became active on the 17/10.
That day actually managed to connect to the internet. Suddenly the connection dropped. The router apparently reseted itself with the setup@ credentials.

Followed numerous procedures to get back my username to get connected with no joy.

Please, would someone take a look at this.

Already thinking about cancelling the contract and just go for some other ISP.

I assume you're using a Hub One?

I would try a factory reset just in case it hasn't got confused.

Worth a try as it might fix it your side.

Re: Can't connect. Tried every possible solution that came to mind

Try manually configuring the router.

  1. Go to advanced settings
  2. Once you’ve logged in with the router password click the broadband tab
  3. Click the disconnect button if there’s one
  4. Change the username to the format of username@plusdsl.net
  5. Change the password to your account one

[edit]

If that doesn’t work or the username changes back to setup@ then raise a fault online at http://faults.plus.net as that’ll get you into the queue for Plusnet to investigate further.
