Can't access some websites

Hello all,

I'm having some issues with my internet connection.
I'm unable to connect to a few websites that seem to be using Akamai CDN.
eBay
TSB online banking, TSB main website is working.
Ikea

I have contacted support they have done a dial test and have confirmed the issue. Support seem very unsure what they can do about it.

Just really fed up now with the issue, just feel like I'm paying and only getting half a service.

Can anyone help?

Hi

The error message appears to be from eBay as though you can reach ebay but they have barred your connection.

Perhaps the IP address you are assigned has been blacklisted or maybe it is related to using one of the ex Infonet USA IP addresses?

I see EBAY UK have a a free phone number 0800 358 6551.

I would try and contact ebay to see if they could advise why you do not have permission  to access their Web site.

THey should be able to use the reference to find out.

I can't help but would like to add that I've also experienced the random reference #18 error across many sites, eBay, Microsoft, CCLOnline & Argos for example.
I've only seen it on my mobile using Pale Moon for Android.

I can't see the issue lying with eBay as I have issue with other site not relating to eBay such as TSB online banking.

It is ebay reporting that you do not have permission to access.

The reason why is unknown but it may be a common reason why other sites are not available.

Doing nothing will probably result in nothing happening and you getting frustrated.

Why not try and find out?
