Can I still upgrade to 40/20?

I am currently on ADSL and when I use Product Change I get the option of:
Unlimited Fibre (Without Phone) £17.49 per month
   Unlimited Usage Allowance
   40Mb download speed (estimated)
   20Mb upload speed (estimated)
   18-month contract
   Designed for demanding users
Broadband activation £25.00 - choose a broadband and phone package and you'll get free activation
However, reading the forum I was under the impression that 40/20 was no longer available? I don't really want the 40/2 product.

Re: Can I still upgrade to 40/20?

Officially it's 40/2 or 80/20, I doubt if you'd get 40/20 now.
Did you intend to keep your phone line rental elsewhere or possibly transfer that to Plusnet? (Just asking because you might get a fairly decent discount by calling Customer Options if you bring your phone service over - if you can get the 80/20 product it might be the best option if you can secure a discount).

Thanks for the reply. I'm with BT for phone service and I am unlikely to move as I use BT's smart talk a lot.

Re: Can I still upgrade to 40/20?

I'd imagine the only possible way to get 40/20 (long shot) is to call the Customer Options team on 0800 013 2632 or 0330 123 9197, tell them you want fibre but need better then 2mb/s up so you're thinking of leaving because of that and see what they say.
- good luck.
