Can I replace my router and any suggestions?

Hi all, just wanting a few suggestions or bits of advice if possible.
My router doesn't cover the house too well as far as WiFi signal goes and sometimes it feels the speed isn't as solid as it should be.  As well as the wired in kit I have (console and Plusnet Youview) we have a couple of PC's and tablets on wireless.
Is there anything I need to look for specifically to ensure any new router works with our kit?  can anyone recommend something that isn't too expensive but will get a better signal than the default Technicolour one that you get from Plusnet?
(I'm assuming this is something that Plusnet don't mind us doing?)
Thanks,
Chris

P.s. I'm an unlimited fibre customer, does this change what I can or can't change?

You ought to be on the Fibre board Wink  other than that -
No, you can change it if you wish, see http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,142705.0.html which may be of some help and there are plenty of threads on that board and the hardware board you could have a read of first.
