Can I have a new GEA test done please.

Hi PN team,

After the farce of a cease error being placed on my line on the 14/2, and then 9 days it took to re-connect my line (23/2), I would like to have a new GEA test done to see if everything looks ok....not sure if my line will still be in the training period or not, does the GEA test show that info if it is?

Thanks

Re: Can I have a new GEA test done please.

Hi @Malcky,

I'm really sorry to hear that you've experienced these issues. I've tested your line today and I can see that you appear to be achieving a downstream sync rate of 79.9Mbps and an upstream sync rate of 20Mbps. As this is the case, it sounds like everything is now fine, but if you do experience any issues with your services going forward then please don't hesitate to let us know and we'll be happy to investigate further.

Thanks for the info, however could you post a screenshot of the GEA test results as I like to see that and compare it to my older ones I’ve had done.

Re: Can I have a new GEA test done please.

Thanks for the details.

Previous GEA test for me have had profile name details saying: Retransmission Low

Today's test profile name info is showing: Interleaving low

What is the difference between Retransmission and Interleaving?

Thanks

Re: Can I have a new GEA test done please.

Thanks for getting back to us.

Effectively they are both different ways of combating errors that happens on the line.

Interleaving has a slightly higher effect on latency but unless you're a gamer chances are you wouldn't really notice this
