people are trying to self diagnose a issue that’s being ignored by plusnet. If they responded or actually said, hey were looking into it that would be really helpful.

The attitude that wifi, ethernet cables and VDSL errors are the only possible causes of any issue (coupled with user-opaque network implementation) does tend to mean that clues such as differential VPN behaviour are actively ignored, whilst "troubleshooting" to "get to the bottom" of things diverts attention down frustratingly illogical rabbit holes and keeps the burden of that frustration planted firmly on the shoulders of impotent customers. Perhaps it's a policy of promoting meditative acceptance and detachment as a part of CSR   😑

I’m not able to get in contact with PN for unconnected reasons.

I don’t see how to raise a support ticket.

How frustrating. Forum is useless.

You can raise it using the online chat on the contact page or via the telephone.

The online chat seems permanently OFFline unfortunately.

For reasons of national security I’m prevented from making voice calls at this time.

I’m somewhat relying on others to report our issue whilst being hopeful That their fix will also help me.

I rarely have bb issues. Happy with service. Just CS is not fit for purpose.

@growlingb3 Do you have disconnects or speed issues? Just be careful that you don’t get charged for the fallout as the YouTube issue is not due to user equipment but rather a routing or caching error. 

Plusnet customer service seems somewhat garbage, they don’t respond on twitter and their online chat is continuously offline. There phone support don’t want to know when it comes to actual issues and thinks everyone’s a bloody idiot.

Thank you for that information friend.

Speed is spot on and stable.

I have for over a year had issues with YouTube buffering and timeouts when syncing my email client with a data centre in Glasgow.

THIS PAST WEEKEND HAS BEEN THE WORST.

With such poor CS. It’s time for me to get out of my contract and move on.

I’ve been a loyal customer and have most of my family on Plusnet.

What is interesting though is that the problem magically seems to be less prevalent after 40 minutes on the phone with their tech support. Wonder if they've begun to resolve the issue from their end?

I've managed to discuss the situation with tech support.

The call handler is aware of these issues as he has handled other support calls and logged the issues and others now have opened tickets.

Interestinly enough, my rock solid up/down speeds have now diminished to almost nothing.

If anyone else has same issues, please get it reported. 

Here's a screenshot taken just now my. This is the best it's been for sometime... currently at 79% packet loss.

They must be on to this now. Packet loss has dropped from 80-100% to 8%
