@Yorkshirelion To be super clear, the static IP isn't a fix, it's a diagnostic tool. With the static IP, you are going via a different route through the wider infrastructure.
@Kelly I understand the reasoning behind the static IP, however I actually think that this issue cleared up again on its own over the last 2-3 days or so. As the complaints from other family members of mine stopped then even though I was still using the VPN to bypass the routing.
Yep. if it's congestion at the caches, it might be dependent on other traffic levels. If it's a failing piece of equipment, routing might change periodically.

@Yorkshirelion The subject of the thread has "Plex BBC". Were you seeing this initially in more than just Youtube? If so, had that stopped but Youtube continued?
@Kelly The first time this happened when I originally opened the thread I thought it was more than YouTube but it turned out to be just YouTube that had the issue and the others were an internal network issue.
@Kelly would it be possible to check if my internet went down at 12:03am on the 2nd of September. I’m trying to figure out if it was my Google Nest WiFi or my internet that was down?
