Since having my Fibre broadband installed ive had nothing but problems with the wireless dropping out all the time
Can anyone recommend any decent wireless routers with a maximum price tag of around £80.
I rely on the wireless a lot so wireless is important to me

Your best option is...
"Built-in VDSL2 Modem for Fibre Broadband up to 100Mbps!"
http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/products/17047-tp-link-td-w9980/
A regular visitor to plusnet has a review here http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/tplink_TD-W9980_review.htm
Yes it will do away with the bt gear.

Why would I want to do away with the BT modem?

Quote from: willas00 Because of the way fibre works would this ASUS device replace the Plusnet box?
You don't unless you want to use just a single box and be eco-freindly tijara33

The Kitz forum has a list of combined router-modems that do away with the Openreach modem. I think people on the list seem to like one of the Zyxel models...

I have been running two separate boxes, and use the TP-Link WDR3600 as a router. Right now, I'm very pleased it does simultaneous 5GHz and 2.4GHz wifi.
Using FTTC since 2011. Currently on 80/20 Unlimited Fibre Extra.
