Hi,
The engineer installed a new socket and a BT Openreach modem at 1PM on Tuesday but my broadband is still inactive; how long does it usually take for the broadband service to be ready?
It says in the leaflet to not set up your router until the service has been confirmed, but the engineer plugged it everything in and my PC detected the router automatically. Is this the/a problem?

Your broadband service is ready to use, the email we sent on the morning of the engineer visit should have explained it. Sorry if it wasn't clear, but you should be able to plug in the router and connect up
