Blocked hosting on Plusnet

I am now into my 8th day unable to access my Hostpapa hosted sites and connected email via my pn broadband. Yet I can get at it via my mobile data.
There is a ticket ongoing and despite assurances from Hostpapa the incorrectly diagnosed Malware alert still seems to be blocking it for me and me only. Does anyone else have a similar issue> I am, to put it mildly, a bit fed up with the situation and seriously considering moving away from PN who I've been with for a long time having started with the old free online service.
What is going on at PN? There service was speedy but at the moment it is excruciatingly slow.
I understand that the company has grown considerably since the early days but that should not be detrimental to it's service.
I would appreciate it if senior management would put this as a priority now as i'm just about done with PN now. It is wholly unacceptable to be without a complete service considering the cost per month I'm paying.
Anybody want to check out one of the sites I can't get at on both PN accounts and another data source and let me know your thoughts?
http://bromsgroverfc.co.uk
it is malware free by the way and is covered by site lock

Re: Blocked hosting on Plusnet

Thanks guys, That's the odd thing. I can view virtually anything I like online via PN except my Hostpapa hosted stuff. Others like yourselves can view my sites as can I via my 3 tethering but that's not satisfactory with only 2GB tethering per month.
I'll be honest, it's doing my head in when it takes nearly 24hrs between responses.  Crazy

Re: Blocked hosting on Plusnet

When I read your first message I thought it might be a DNS issue. Then I read your follow up regarding alternative DNS useage.
Have you tried using the Plusnet DNS servers ?

Re: Blocked hosting on Plusnet

Hi,
Could it be possible that your IP has been blocked in some way? If it is likely that the IP is an issue, we can do a dial test for you if it hasn't already been done.
Secondly, what happens if you use some sort of proxy connection? Do issues still remain? This should at least rule out your computer.
A couple of anonymous sites to try are here  or here . Other sites are available.

Re: Blocked hosting on Plusnet

It would seem that they were asking me to change the DNS not as it appeared [Internal] but yes it was originally blocked by plus net but that was supposed to be sorted. Once I figure out how I do the DNS thing I'll give it a go.
Nothing is simple is it.

Re: Blocked hosting on Plusnet

If it was a DNS issue, one of the servers would be giving a different answer - they are not:
C:\Users\John>nslookup bromsgroverfc.co.uk 208.67.222.222
Server:  resolver1.opendns.com
Address:  208.67.222.222
Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    bromsgroverfc.co.uk
Address:  70.33.246.110

C:\Users\John>nslookup bromsgroverfc.co.uk 8.8.8.8
Server:  google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address:  8.8.8.8
Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    bromsgroverfc.co.uk
Address:  70.33.246.110

C:\Users\John>nslookup bromsgroverfc.co.uk 212.159.6.9
Server:  cdns01.plus.net
Address:  212.159.6.9
Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    bromsgroverfc.co.uk
Address:  70.33.246.110

I can't see how this could be a DNS issue.

Anonymouse worked. Apart from their ad panel over the top of it.

Re: Blocked hosting on Plusnet

It's now 10 days since I reported this fault and PN Support still can't find anything. I was asked to change the DNS settings on my router, something as far as I can make out is not possible on the plusnet technicolor router. I've tried, unsuccessfully to change the DNS on one of my Macs, nothing different.
I understand sometimes a fault can take time to resolve but my beef is really about the turnaround time on support tickets. I generally reply immediately to them but that's not the case when it comes to a PN response.
After over 16 years with Plusnet I'm thinking of leaving if this isn't resolved soon. Which would be a shame and a pain in the Butt!
