Billion 8800nl

Tried to setup my new billion this morning,no matter what i tried the red power light stayed on red & where i read it should turn green, but it won,t.
So i had to setup my BT modem & PN router again.
Is it faulty,i just don,t know. Angry

Re: Billion 8800nl

The manual says the red means 'boot failure or emergency mode" Sad
Have you tried using the reset switch?  Press and hold it for 5 seconds or so and see if the device responds...  If not, sounds like it's dead I'm afraid.
It may be worth posting a query on the Billion UK forum http://www.billion.uk.com/forum/ but it's probably simplest to arrange a replacement with your supplier?

Re: Billion 8800nl

If it is actually something supplied by Amazon themselves rather than a seller on the marketplace they're usually pretty good at getting things sorted if you do have a problem thankfully.
I had a pair of headphones where the driver was loose and they'd rattle on any low frequencies, Amazon sent out a new pair and then I had 30days to drop the old pair off at a collect+ point I think it was.
Whilst still irritating that the one's I received the first time were faulty Amazon made it as painless as possible to get the RMA sorted.

Re: Billion 8800nl

I can,t even access the router,s configuration because of the red power light which should be green.

I had exactly the same problem.

That doesn't sound like the same problem at all...  Are you sure that it wasn't the Internet led that was red in your case?
