Banding and changing from ADSL to Fibre

OK.  Quick update here.  We've had no improvement over the past few days.

I'm pretty sure we do have a fault on our line, since we have still been getting the occasional dropped line even on our severely banded profle, and have raised a fault with plusnet.  However - I won't be sure about that until we get our fibre connection to see how it performs.

Today is our date for the switch to Fibre.  Got an email this morning saying our change was complete.  Broadband clearly still very slow.  Did a BT speedtest and we've got a whopping download speed of 0.23Mb/s, which apparently indicates that there isn't a problem because our profile is currently 0.25Mb/s!

I'm assuming the change to Fibre has not actually happened yet.  How long does it normally take on the change day?

The email is from the accounting system and knows nothing of the real world. A common Plusnet issue.

Change over can happen at any time up to Midnight.

Well, switch was now happened.  Hooray!

Speed now up to around 38Mb/s (so a reasonable improvement over 0.2Mb/s...!)  Fingers crossed - seems stable so far.  Will have to see what our speed stabilises to over the next couple of weeks.
