Banded again

Hi

Would it be possible to have the banding lifted from my line.

Historically I have been connected at between 75-80kbits/s and something happen in August which dropped the speed to 60 kbits/s, a fault was raised and BTW man said there s nothing wrong with the line and it should connect at at least 75 kbits/s, he also changed the fibre port and reset the DLM. It went back to the slower speed very quickly after the reset.

Since these events BTW have been doing some work on other pairs in the same cable to fix faults for a neighbour and I was connected for 3 weeks until 2 resent power fails.

All connected computers are wired connections

HG612 straight into NTE5C mark4 with built in splitter no telephone extension wiring.

Attached speed test and BTW checker

Re: Banded again

Hi there,

I'm arranging for a DLM reset to be carried out remotely which should go through within the next few days although with the weekend ahead of us you may not see any improvement until mid-next week.

Let us know how it goes.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Banded again

DLM reset at 04:40 this morning and it would appear it has gone straight to a banding of 66997kbits/s which is an improvement, I will continue to monitor it over the coming week.

Re: Banded again

Update: Had a resync at 05:10 now connected 79949kbs and SNR margin 5.3, back to where we were in July, not bad at 595m to the box (as reported by btw man).

Thanks again

That's brilliant news @zpeterk, we're thrilled that it's seemingly sorted.

Keep an eye on it over the next week or so and let us know how you get on with it.

If anything deteriorates, please get in touch here and we'll get onto it ASAP.
