I am on my second year with plus.net, paying for Fibre Unlimited. I am in London area. The download speed used to be ok ~20-30 Mbs but for the past 6 months it is terrible. It drops erratically from 20 Mbs to 2 mps (yes, "two"); married to frequent router outages (no internet at all). Power cycling the router sometimes helps but not for too long. I use my wired PC to work from home, so these outages became a real problem. My contract expires in October. What can be fixed until then? Thanks
Line tests are showing a fault somewhere along the line.
To rule out your internal wiring can you try the steps Here letting us know over here once you've carried this out. We'll then retest your line and if the fault is still showing we'll send out a replacement router to try.
Failing that we'll need to arrange an engineer visit to investigate further.
