BT line profile keeps changing

Hi all,

Can anyone explain to me why my BT line profile keeps changing?? Used to be 63Mbps but over the past week or so it has graduall dropped to 59.2, not a huge drop but a drop anyway.

Also last week my dowload speeds were were around 59Mbps now they have dropped to 46.5 today. For some strange reason my downoad speed seems to kepp dropping.

Have re booted my router just a couple of times (hub1), re booted laptop but nothing makes any difference to raise the speed

Changed nothing at all at home so no difference there. According to Plusnet I should be getting far better than this

Hi dickelliott,

Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding this issue.

I have looked into this and reset your profile after running a test to check your connection. If you can do a reboot on your router you should notice the difference in speed. If you notice no difference then just run through these quick checks from this link as they can help https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/connection-troubleshooting/

Hi Ben, Thanks for your help. Have re booed router and done other checks. Download speed still just 48Mbps.

Bt ip profile still shows just 59.5 and plusnet shows current line speed of 61Mbps.

Surely there is something wrong here. Any more hel would be much appreciated

Hi again Ben, Just re booted laptop and now speeds are back to normal.

Yeah sometimes it can take a bit to push through but I'm glad that this has helped and hopefully it will stay this way. If you do find however that this is changing again can you please raise this to our faults team at faults.plus.net so they can further investigate this with our supplier.
