BT can't provide my 80/20 package. Can I have the 55/10 package it can provide?

I'm paying for BB Fibre Extra and I was getting about 65/14, but after a comedy of errors that even included being downgraded to ADSL without my permission and without even discussing it with me, BT have now revised their fibre guestimates for my cabinet on dslchecker to nearer 55/10. (7.9-11.7 up). Seems to me I'm paying for a package that can't be delivered when I could be saving some money every month and getting what I'm getting now (currently syncing at ~55/7).

So if I downgrade, there's no earthly reason why I should see any change in performance, right?

Plusnet don't sell 55/10, the two products are rated at up to 80/20 or up to 38/2 (yes 2).

BT Retail do offer up to 55/10 (which is upto 52/1.9 in reality)
