For those that can get it to work... (works on W7 via IE, gives a browser session time out using W10 via Edge)
Is anybody seeing very low download results?

This test was not conclusive and further testing is required.This might be useful for your Broadband Service Provider to investigate the fault.
(It was very hit and miss through the night!!)
edit at 11:10. Could not get Edge, Chrome or Firefox (the latter is down to FF itself) via W10 to work on the tester. They gave the browser timed out message.
However, after multiple attempts on the W7 laptop, after changing BB username to speedtest@speedtest_domain, test did not show and final results, changed router back to <username>@plusdsl.net and the very next test gave Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information.
There are no results to be seen!!

@scrookes Can you please check to see if there are two speedtest@speedtest_domain test results showing at your end for my connection?
The reason for asking, is that the first part of the test is giving me very erratic download test results, which tbh I thought others on this thread would have been reporting the same too by now. I know strat mentioned his upload being incorrect.
The second test, using W7 and IE now either goes to browser timed out* or it works and gives me the third test
*the same as any browser on W10.
The third test, after changing router username goes to this address - http://test3.speedtest.btwholesale.com/PerformanceTesterWS/indexTap3Frames.jsp?BBIP=<my number removed>&serviceId=&TAP=3&BBD= but both times I have the following message, so I don't know if they are working ...:( - I have cleared all cache, cookies etc between all of my attempts so doubt the following is being generated at my end -
The browser session has timed out. Please refresh the main Performance Tester page.

Just tried it again today and get the same problems which has been ongoing prior to Christmas last year.
Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service.
