I had Fibre installed yesterday, speed test results after installation were showing as 37 to 38 Mbps,
Last few tests have been coming up as follows.
1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Download Speed
1.83 Mbps
0 Mbps 38.69 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.83 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 27.08 Mbps-38.69 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 38.69 Mbps
2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.
Upload Speed
1.83 Mbps
0 Mbps 2 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 1.83Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 2 Mbps
This test was not conclusive and further testing is required. This might be useful for your Broadband Service Provider to investigate the fault.
If you wish to carry out further tests, please click on 'Continue' button. If not, please close the window using 'Exit' button and contact your ISP for further assistance with these results.
Please visit the FAQ if you are unable to understand the test results.
Web browsing seems OK, tried BBC Iplayer streaming HD video with no problems, surely this would not be possible on a 1.8 download speed.

Max Rate (Kbps) 3532 41369
SNR Margin (dB) 9.2 6.5
Line Attenuation (dB) 44.7 19.7
Errors (Pkts) 0 0
WAN
PlusNet IP profile
Estimated line speed:
30Mb (Download speed could vary depending on line conditions. Estimates are the maximum speeds that your phone line can support. These speeds are dependent on the package you choose.) - Checked on 2015-10-06 20:42:53
Current line speed:
38.6 Mb
The speedtest results seem a bit odd as all the other stats from the router, BT IP Profile and Current line speed on PlusNet all seem to match up.
Can anyone explain why i'm getting these seemingly rather odd speedtest results?
Ron

Everything looks fine from here, I can see that you had a disconnection a few hours ago. This should have kicked the new profile speed through, can you test again and let us know?

We were unable to identify any performance problem with your service at this time.
It is possible that any problem you are currently, or had previously experienced may have been caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or by the server you were accessing responding slowly.
If you continue to encounter a problem with a specific server, please contact the administrator of that server in the first instance.
Is this the DLM at work?. I have noticed a few PPP disconnects and reconnects since the change over to Fibre.
Another question, when I ordered Fibre I didn't ask for a PlusNet router as I intended using a single box VDSL modem router, this is what is connected now.
Thinking about it maybe I should have for testing purposes.
Could you send me a PlusNet router? I can use this with the BT modem if need be if I should have any problems (hopefully not)
I understand the conditions attached to this, I have an active Debit Card on my account .
Thanks for checking this.
Ron
