And post the result but blank out or crop your phone number.

Re: BT Line Fault Report

The VDSL observed speeds on 29/4/2020 look good for Plusnet Fibre Extra [max speeds 80 / 20 mbps] dependent on BT line quality and length :

Screenshot from 2020-05-09 09-12-18.png

The GEA test looks like you are on Plusnet Fibre [ maximum speeds 40 / 10 mbps or 55 /10 for some legacy contracts]:

Did you move from PN Fibre to Fibre extra? The GEA test results have previously been observed to be laggy / outdated.

If you can see the Fibre modem line stats, what do they report?

Regards

Richard

Re: BT Line Fault Report

Thanks

All beyond me, a little.

Did you move from PN Fibre to Fibre extra?  As far as I am aware I am just on the stardard fibre package (40 meg max)

The GEA test results have previously been observed to be laggy / outdated.  What does this mean?

If you can see the Fibre modem line stats, what do they report?  How do I do this?  Interrogate the router, if so where abouts?

Re: BT Line Fault Report

Hi

If you can see the Fibre modem line stats, what do they report?   I found these results from the router, do they indicate any thing?

8. Noise margin: 16.1 / 16.4
9. Line attenuation: 16.4 / 16.6
10. Signal attenuation: 16.3 / 16.6

Re: BT Line Fault Report

@Trebor12345

I think that you need to go back to the beginning. Why the question?

Are you having a problem? How are you measuring download speed, are you connecting a computer to yout hub using an Ethernet cable? These are the only tests that count when testing the DSL connection speed.

From the results above it should be 40-50 Mbps. If it's less have you tried using the test socket? To access this you take the front off the BT master socket, you may need to remove two screws, and plug a filter into the socket that you will find in the box.
